We installed Taguchi Acoustics inside the smart working booth KOLO and collaborated with LAYERED SOUND to exhibit acoustic equipment in a private booth.
We exhibited acoustic equipment at the Seki Furniture booth at ORGATEC TOKYO 2024.
We installed Taguchi Acoustics inside the smart working booth KOLO and collaborated with LAYERED SOUND to exhibit acoustic equipment in a private booth.
KOLO is a working booth which is designed for a more private work environment. It has excellent sound insulation that prevent business conversations from leaking outside, but it also has excellent sound absorption that will not disturb important conversations even with background music.
We used omnidirectional speakers from Taguchi Acoustics as the main speakers.
As these speakers are omnidirectional, they have a wonderful sound spread receiving or sending waves equally in all directions allowing you to listen to music with sufficient sound quality just by using them.
We added a 3D sound system from LAYERED SOUND to the Taguchi speaker system. This was the first attempt for them as well. This is because it is a technology designed to change the sound quality and imagery for automobiles.
Therefore, we conducted tests to make LAYERED SOUND's driver unit resonate with the wood. For the actual installation, we installed it on the wood of the sofa rather than on a sound-absorbing panel.

By installing four LAYERED SOUND driver units and one LAYERED SOUND subwoofer underneath the sofa, we were able to amplify Taguchi's stereo sensation even further and fill the space with sound.
Being able to talk inside a private booth is a very important element, and the 3D sound system used in this event was the best way to surround the audience with sound without interfering with their conversation.
It was a great experience to be able to participate in the new initiative of the ever-evolving Seki Furniture KOLO.
