Yuki "Lin" Hayashi: Why I Choose the Eco-Pick

Introduction to the Eco-Pick Yuki "Lin" Hayashi, a professional bassist and producer active in both Japan and the U.S., first encountered the Eco-Pick through a connection with Moto, the founder of 380sound, at the NAMM Show. Since 2019, Lin has incorporated the Eco-Pick into his performances, appreciating its compact size and fit for various playing styles, particularly for enhancing funk grooves.

Why Eco-Pick? For Lin, Eco-Pick stands out for its ability to produce a clear sound and its comfortable fit, allowing him to play with precision and control. He highlights its unique quality—providing grip without a designated grip surface, which makes it perfect for long recording sessions or repeated parts where conventional picks might slip.

A Green Approach with Style The Eco-Pick’s appeal isn’t only its performance; Lin values its eco-friendly concept, considering it a critical factor given his strong interest in environmental issues. He appreciates that the pick incorporates recycled materials, offering a sustainable option without compromising on quality.

380sound’s Brand Appeal Lin’s positive experience with Eco-Pick aligns with his broader impression of 380sound. He is enthusiastic about sharing the brand’s innovative products with other musicians, especially those in funk, soul, and other groove-centered genres where Eco-Pick’s precise and durable qualities shine.

Recommendation For musicians looking for reliability and a clear, resonant tone, Lin highly recommends Eco-Pick, especially for those with sweaty hands or seeking more environmentally conscious choices. Lin notes that the concept behind Eco-Pick aligns with a broader perspective on plastic as an invaluable yet manageable resource.
